Buttermilk Syrup

Bring to a boil in a LARGE pot:

• 1/2 cup butter


• 1 cup sugar


• 1/2 cup buttermilk


• 1 tsp corn syrup

Remove from heat and stir. Add:

• 1 tsp baking soda


• 1 tsp vanilla

This mixture will fizz to twice or 3 times the size. Let set stirring occasionally. Serve while hot.
